05-04-'15: Day 2
This morning, after we had breakfast with Dennis and Becky, they gave us a small tour through their house, which is beautiful. After that, they gave us ride to the office of the Boys and Girls Club, where we are going to help out in the afternoon . There we met Sarah and Megan. They too gave us a tour, showing us where to find everything. We spent the remaining of the morning labelling envelopes and putting stamps on them. At 1, Sarah and Megan took us out for lunch. They had a lot of questions about us, the Netherlands and the internship. After lunch, we took a little detour. Sarah and Megan showed us some things in town. Then, we went back to the office, where we put the letters in the envelopes. These letters were about the Fish'o'rama event that is being organised in Cedar Rapids in August. More information on the Fish'o'rama will follow later on. At 3.30, Dennis came to pick us up. He too showed us some parts of town and we went grocery shopping at this huge grocery store. In the evening, we got to try our first strawberry shortcakes, which was really good. After this busy day, we were happy to go to bed. Tomorrow, we are going to start our internship at the Boys and Girls club. We are so exited! Talk to you tomorrow!

Hello Iris,
Wonderfull to see / read you are doing OK. Exiting story about your journey towards the States.
It must be quit an experience, being dumped on an airstrip miles and miles away from your final destination. Really wonderfull, that Dennis and Becky made the journey 3 hours up and back in the middle of the night to get you save to their house. Please say a lots of thanks on behalf of Mam and me.
Looking forward for your next story and hoping you are going to have lots of fun. With all the care Dennis and Becky are taking, this must be a marvellous time.
