We went to help at the Catholic Worker House, which is a homeless shelter. Homeless people can stay there for a couple of weeks. They also function as a kind of food bank; Tuesday is free bread-day for example. There was quite a bit to be done. First, we went upstairs, where we repainted the ceiling of one of the bedrooms. Then, we went downstairs to stick tape on the doorframes to protect them from the paint (tomorrow, the rooms downstairs will be painted). We also cleaned the plastic casing/strip things covering up the wires. After lunch we went back upstairs to check if the paint had dried, which it had. We taped of the ceiling and painted the walls. Dennis picked us up at 4 and we went back home. Dennis' son Grady and granddaughter Kona came over for dinner. We had fish Dennis and Becky caught themselves with potatoes and salad. Before and after dinner we played with Kona, who is so terribly cute! After they went back home, we played cards for a little while and then all went to bed. A lot of work needs to be done tomorrow, so off to bed!
