Today, we had our last day at the office. After finishing up on putting the surveys in excel, with which we started yesterday, we said goodbye to everyone, for they were leaving for a conference in Chicago at ten. After saying goodbye, we went to help with another organisation, called Gems of Hope. They make jewellery for cancer patients. We helped them by cutting cards out of paper and cutting out quotes. Becky picked us up at 5 and we went to the supermarket to buy groceries for dinner. Myrthe and I wanted to make Dennis and Becky a Dutch dinner. We made carrot-potato mash with bacon, onions and meatballs. Surprisingly, it turned out well! In the meantime, Becky baked chocolate chip cookies, which were/are great. After dinner, we went downstairs, where Becky taught us how to do pottery. It is much harder than it seems. However, we both managed to make a bowl, which we are going to finish on Thursday. There is still clay everywhere... Tomorrow we will help out at the Catholic Workers House. See you tomorrow!
